Introduction – Larry Vifquain

Topic – ‘Geology of the Massachusetts Middlesex County Area and a bit beyond’

Speaker – William Vales – He is a retired software engineer. About 40 years ago he took a break in computer science studies while at Boston University and took a course in geology. From this first course he was hooked on geology and has studied it since. He lives between Littleton, MA and Sugar Hill, NH. Both areas offer splendid examples of geology and allow him to continue his geologic studies close to home. He has been on the adjunct faculty of University of Ma. @ Lowell since 1996 teaching Network and Information security.

He has developed numerous community TV shows for Littleton Cable TV as well as presentations for local groups that cover various environmental and geologic concepts in the local area. These shows/presentations are posted on YouTube and can be located using various search strings.

 He continues to try to retire.
