TOPIC – “The Path to Commercial Fusion Energy” by Ryan Taylor and Jessica Strunkin

In this talk, we’ll learn about harnessing the power of the stars here on earth as the commercial fusion industry moves out of the research lab and into commercial applications. Fusion energy can play a critical role in the transition to a carbon-free energy economy.

SPEAKER BIO:

Ryan Taylor is the Embedded Systems Engineer for the SPARC Cryogenics, Tokamak Vessel Conditioning, and Environmental Protection Programs, and the Lead Systems Engineer for ARC molten salt R&D at Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS).

Jessica Strunkin joined Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) as Community Relations and Local Government Affairs Principal in 2023 and leads the company’s engagement with local communities and stakeholders to broaden awareness of fusion energy and to highlight the economic impact of CFS on the region.
